Chiyo and Tomo are class president and vice president again, respectively.
When the class come up with suggestions for the cultural festival, and once again someone comes up with the idea of either a haunted house or a coffeehouse. The class ends up having to use the suggestion box just like last time.

Part of the uniform the students wear is a hat that looks just like the head of Chiyo-chichi. Sakaki came up with the idea of calling it "dad hat."

Tomo greets Yomi by saying "Good morning, musume!!", in which "musume" means "girl." This is a reference to the famous Japanese pop group consisting of girls only called Morning Musume.

For one of the proposed ideas, "haunted coffeehouse," it is suggested that all the waitresses dress up as traditional Japanese monsters from folklore such as nurikabe and karakasa. The nurikabe is a wall monster that blocks the way of travelers. The karakasa is an old umbrella come to life.
Tomo suggests that they make a "Chiyo-chan Show" for their exhibit and have everyone pretend to be Chiyo-chan.
